Controlling your smart device with the remote control 
When the projector projects the content from your MHL compatible smart device, you 
can use the remote control to control your smart device. 
To enter the MHL mode, press and hold AUTO for 3 seconds. The following buttons are 
available for controlling your smart device: Arrow keys ( / Up,  / Down, 
Left, Right), MENU/EXIT, MODE/ENTER, #0-#9, MHL control buttons. 
To leave the MHL mode, press and hold AUTO for 3 seconds.

Replacing the remote control batteries
1. Open the battery cover as illustrated.
2. Remove any existing batteries (if necessary) and install two AAA batteries observing 
the battery polarities as indicated in the base of the battery compartment. Positive 
(+) goes to positive and negative (-) goes to negative.
3. Refit the cover by aligning it with the base and snapping it back down into position.

Obtaining a preferred projected image size
The distance from the projector lens to the screen, the zoom setting, and the video format 
each factors in the projected image size.
Projection dimensions 
Refer to Dimensions on page 57 for the center of lens dimensions of this projector 
before calculating the appropriate position.

When connecting a signal source to the projector, be sure to:
1. Turn all equipment off before making any connections.
2. Use the correct signal cables for each source.
3. Ensure the cables are firmly inserted.

•  Many notebooks do not turn on their external video ports when connected to a projector. Usually a key 
combo like FN + F3 or CRT/LCD key turns the external display on/off. Locate a function key labeled CRT/
LCD or a function key with a monitor symbol on the notebook. Press FN and the labeled function key 
simultaneously. Refer to your notebooks documentation to find your notebooks key combination.

Connecting smart devices
The projector can project the content directly from a MHL compatible smart device. Using 
a HDMI to Micro USB cable or a HDMI to Micro USB adaptor, you can connect your smart 
devices to the projector and then enjoy your content on the big screen.
Some smart devices may not be compatible to the cable that you use. Please consult the manufacturer of your 
smart device for detailed information.

Operation
Starting up the projector
1. Plug the power cord into the projector and into a 
power outlet. Turn on the power outlet switch 
(where fitted). Check that the POWER indicator 
light on the projector lights orange after power 
has been applied.
Please use the original accessories (e.g. power cord) only with the 
device to avoid possible dangers such as electric shock and fire.
