31 How to adjust your monitor Main menu mode You can use the OSD (On Screen Display) menu to adjust all the settings on your monitor. Press the MENU key to display the following main OSD menu. The OSD menu languages may differ from the product supplied to your region, see “Language on page 42” under “OSD Settings” for more details. For more information on each menu, please refer to the following pages: • Display menu on page 32 • Picture menu on page 34 • Picture Advanced menu on page 37 • PIP (Picture-in-Picture) menu on page 39 • System menu on page 41 There are 5 main OSD menus: 1. Display 2. Picture 3. Picture Advanced 4. PIP (Picture in Picture) 5. System Use the t (Up) or u (Down) keys to highlight a menu item, and press the ENTER key to enter the Menu item settings. 13 2 45
32 How to adjust your monitor Display menu The current picture mode is displayed in the top right corner of the main menu. See Picture Mode on page 37 to learn more information. 1. Press the MENU key to display the main menu. 2. Press the t or u keys to select DISPLAY and then press the ENTER key to enter the menu. 3. Press the t or u keys to move the highlight to a menu item and then press the ENTER key to select that item. 4. Press the t or u keys to make adjustments or selections. 5. To return to the previous menu, press the MENU key. ItemFunctionOperationRange Auto AdjustmentOptimizes and adjusts the screen settings automatically for you. The i key is a ‘hot-key’ for this function. When you connect a digital video output using a digital (DVI) cable to your monitor, the i key and the Auto Adjustment function will be disabled. Press the ENTER key to select this option and make adjustment.

Position Adjusts the vertical position of the screen image.0 to 100 Pixel Clock Adjusts the pixel clock frequency timing to synchronize with the analog input video signal. The function is not available for use when DynamicContrast is on. Press the t key to increase the contrast and press the u key to decrease the contrast.0 to 100 Sharpness Adjusts the clarity and visibility of the edges of the subjects in the image.Press the t key to improve the crispness of the display and press the u key to have softness effect on the display.1 to 5 Color - Press ENTER to enter the Color menu.
35 How to adjust your monitor Normal Allows video and still photographs to be viewed with natural coloring. This is the factory default color. Press the t or u keys to select this option. Bluish Applies a cool tint to the image and is factory pre-set to the PC industry standard white color. Reddish Applies a warm tint to the image and is factory pre-set to the news print standard white color. User Mode Tailors the image color tint. The blend of the Red, Green and Blue primary colors can be altered to change the color tint of the image. The default start setting is 50. Decreasing one or more of the colors will reduce their respective influence on the color tint of the image. e.g. if you reduce the Blue level the image will gradually take on a yellowish tint. If you reduce Green, the image will become a magenta tint.Press the t or u keys and the ENTER key to select Red, Green, or Blue. Then use the t or u keys to make the color adjustments.• Red (0 to 100) • Green (0 to 100) • Blue (0 to 100) Reset Color Resets the User Mode custom color settings to the factory defaults. Press the t or u keys to change the settings. • Ye s • No Press Menu to leave the menu. DynamicContrast The function will increase the level of contrast to provide sharper and more detailed image quality. Activating DynamicContrast will disable Brightness and Contrast controls. Press the ENTER key to select this option. Press the t or ukeys to change the settings.• ON • OFF

The function is not available for use when the input source is D-Sub or DVI-D.Press the t or u keys to move the highlight to a menu item and then press the t or u keys to adjust the value.0 to 100 Saturation Adjusts the purity and intensity of colors in the displayed image. The function is not available for use when the input source is D-Sub or DVI-D. 0 to 100

The screen will be divided into two windows; the left window demonstrates images of Standard mode, while the right window presents the images under the spec- ified mode.Press the t or u keys to change the settings. • ON • OFF Overscan Slightly enlarges the input image. Use this feature to hide annoying edge noise if present around your image. The function is not available for use when the input source is D-Sub or DVI-D. When the input source is component, composite, or S-video, the function is ON by default; however, when the input source is HDMI, the default setting is OFF. 39 How to adjust your monitor PIP (Picture-in-Picture) menu 1. Press the MENU key to display the main menu. 2. Press the t or u keys to select PIP and then press the ENTER key to enter the menu. 3. Press the t or u keys to move the highlight to a menu item and then press the ENTER key to select that item. 4. Press the t or u keys to make adjustments or selections. 5. To return to the previous menu, press the MENU key. ItemFunctionOperationRange Input Selects the video input for PIP viewing window. Use this to change the input to that appropriate to your video cable connection type. See also PIP hot key on page 28. Press the t or u keys to change the settings. This command can bring up a window from a second image source. Thus you can watch images from 1 computer graphic/PC video source (D-sub, DVI, Component, or HDMI) and 1 video source (Composite, or S-video). The PIP function will not allow for 2 computer graphic/PC video sources or 2 video sources to perform PIP. • Composite • S-video • OFF or • D-sub • DVI • HDMI • Component • OFF Size Adjusts the size of the PIP window.Press the t or u keys to change the settings. • Small • Medium • Large H.
