21 How to adjust your monitor Hot key mode (1): models with speakers The monitor keys perform as hotkeys to provide direct access to particular functions whenever the menu isnt currently displaying on-screen. Volume hot key Mode hot key Input hot key (not available for analog-only models)Press the t key to enter the Vo l u m e indic- tor. Further press the t key to increase or the u key to decrease the volume, and press the MENU key to exit. Press the u key continually to switch between the 5 modes for the main window, including Standard, Movie, Dynamics, Photo, and sRGB. The setting will take effect immediately. Brightness and Contrast hot keys Mode hot key Input hot key (not available for analog-only models)Press the t key to display the Brightness and Contrast indicators. Further press the the t or u keys, then the ENTER key to select Brightness or Contrast. The t key will increase the level, while the u key will decrease the level. To exit, press the MENU key. Press the u key continually to switch between the 5 modes for the main window, including Standard, Movie, Dynamics, Photo, and sRGB. The setting will take effect immediately. 23 How to adjust your monitor Main menu mode You can use the OSD (On Screen Display) menu to adjust all the settings on your monitor. Press the MENU key to display the following main OSD menu. The OSD menu languages may differ from the product supplied to your region, see “Language on page 32” under “OSD Settings” for more details. Press the t or u keys to move the highlight to a menu item and then press the ENTER key to select that item. 4. Press the t or u keys to make adjustments or selections. 5. To return to the previous menu, press the MENU button. ItemFunctionOperationRange Auto AdjustmentOptimizes and adjusts the screen settings automatically for you. The AU TO key is a ‘hot-key’ for this function. When you connect a digital video output using a digital (DVI) cable to your monitor, the AUTO key and the Auto Adjustment function will be disabled. Press the ENTER key to select this option and make adjustment.

27 How to adjust your monitor Normal Allows video and still photographs to be viewed with natural coloring. This is the factory default color. Press the t or u keys to select this option. Bluish Applies a cool tint to the image and is factory pre-set to the PC industry standard white color. Reddish Applies a warm tint to the image and is factory pre-set to the news print standard white color. User Mode Tailors the image color tint. The blend of the Red, Green and Blue primary colors can be altered to change the color tint of the image. The default start setting is 50. Decreasing one or more of the colors will reduce their respective influence on the color tint of the image. e.g. if you reduce the Blue level the image will gradually take on a yellowish tint. If you reduce Green, the image will become a magenta tint.Press the t or ukeys and the ENTER key to select Red, Green, or Blue. Then use the t or u keys to make the color adjustments.• Red (0 to 100) • Green (0 to 100) • Blue (0 to 100) Reset Color Resets the User Mode custom color settings to the factory defaults. Press the t or u keys to change the settings. • YES • NO Press MENU to leave the Color menu.

The screen will be divided into two windows; the left window demonstrates images of Standard mode, while the right window presents the images under the specified mode.Press the t or u keys to change the settings. • ON • OFF Display Mode This feature is provided to allow aspect ratio’s other than 16:10 to be displayed without geometric distortion. • Full - Scales the input image to fill the screen.
