    Browsing the Internet
    Your phone has two options for Internet access . Use the Browser or Google Chrome to view web pages and search for information .
    From the home screen, tap  .
    Opening a Web Page
    •			Tap	the	address	bar,	enter	the	website	you	want	to	browse,	and	tap	Go .
    •			Tap	 beside the address bar or press Bookmarks . Tap a bookmark  to open it  .
    •			Press	Bookmarks . Choose an item from the History tab or Saved  Pages tab .
    Browsing Options
    While viewing most web pages, you can do the following .
    •	Scroll: Swipe the screen in any direction .
    •	 Zoom out: Tap the screen or pinch two fingers together  .
    •	 Zoom  in: Tap the screen or spread two fingers apart .
    Browser Bar
    The Browser Bar gives you quick access to your favorite web content  . Create shortcuts using simple categories and share pages with your friends via social networks, messaging, and more . To view the Browser Bar, swipe up on  .
    •	 Send the page URL to friends: Press Share page and select how you want to send the URL .
    •	 Follow a link: Tap a link on the web page to open it .
    •	 Save the page for offline reading: Press Save for offline reading .  To read saved pages, press BookmarksSaved Pages .
    Opening Another Browser Window
    You can have multiple windows open in the browser  . While in the browser, tap   to open a new window . To view your open windows, tap  . Tap  on a window to close it .
    Using Bookmarks
    To bookmark a web page, open it and tap  or , and then tap Save to bookmarks . Give the bookmark a name and tap OK .
    Editing a Bookmark
      From the home screen, tap  . 
      Press Bookmarks .
         Tap and hold the bookmark you want to edit until the shortcut menu  pops up  .
      Tap Edit bookmark .
        Edit the name (Label) or location (Address), and then tap OK to save it  .
    Deleting a Bookmark
      From the home screen, tap  .
      Press Bookmarks .

        Tap and hold the bookmark you want to delete until the shortcut menu  pops up  .
      Tap Delete bookmarkOK .
    Changing Browser Settings
    Press Settings from a browser window to change browser settings .
    Using Google Chrome
    Use Google Chrome to browse the Internet  . Chrome on your AT&T Radiant can sync bookmarks, browsing history, and opened tabs from your Google account  .
      From the home screen, tap Chrome .
      Read the terms of service and tap Accept and Continue .
        You can choose to Sign in to Chrome to sync it with your open tabs, bookmarks, and omnibox data from your computer  . If you choose No thanks, you can sign in later via the Settings menu .
        To enter a URL, tap the web address bar, enter an address and tap Go .
        Scroll to navigate and tap links to open them . Use a pinching gesture to zoom out  . Spread your fingers apart to zoom in . Press  to access additional settings .
        To open a new browser tab, tap New tab .
    Syncing Chrome
    From the home screen, tap ChromeSettingsSign In To ChromeSign in .
    Bluetooth
    Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology  . Phones or other devices with Bluetooth capabilities can exchange information wirelessly within a distance of about 32 feet (10 meters) . The Bluetooth devices must be paired before the communication is performed .
    Using Bluetooth 
        Before you begin, place the Bluetooth device in pairing mode . From the home screen, press System settings and slide the Bluetooth switch to the On position to turn on Bluetooth . When Bluetooth is on, the  icon will appear in the status bar  . 
        Tap Bluetooth . Your phone will automatically search for Bluetooth devices and will show all visible devices in range .
         Tap the device you want to pair with .
        If necessary, confirm that the Bluetooth passkeys are the same between the two devices .
    Pairing is successfully completed when the other device accepts the connection or the same passkey is entered .
    Notes: 
    •	 The Bluetooth passkey may be fixed for certain devices, such as headsets or hands-free car kits . You can try entering 0000 or 1234 (the most common passkeys), or refer to the documents for that device .
    •	 
    To allow compatible Bluetooth devices to find your phone for pairing,  tap Z740 on the Bluetooth settings screen . Your device will be visible for  2 minutes .

    Entertainment
    Taking Pictures with Your Camera
    Your phone has a 5-megapixel camera . 
      From the home screen, tap  .
        Zoom in or out by dragging the slider bar  . To change color effects, tap  and select an option . To change shot modes, tap  and select an option .
        Tap  or a Volume Key to take a picture . To view it, tap the picture thumbnail in the corner of the screen . 
    Adjusting Camera Settings
    Before taking a photo, you can tap  to open the following camera settings .
    GridSet the composition line to help you to aim the camera at  the subject .
    Shutter ToneTurn shutter tones on or off  .
    Picture Size  Choose the size of the photo  .
    Timing PhotoSet a timer to take a photo on a delay: Off, 3 Seconds, 5 Seconds, or 10 Seconds .
    Picture QualityChoose from Super Fine, Fine, and Normal .
    Image  Set exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, and/or sharpness of the photo . 
    White Balance  
    Select how the camera adjusts colors in different kinds of light to achieve the most natural looking colors for your shots, or allow the camera to adjust the white balance automatically  .
    ISOSet the ISO as auto, ISO-100, ISO-200, ISO-400, 1S0-800,  or 1S0-1600 .
    Review Time  Set the lapse time for viewing a photo after you take it  .
    Geo-tagChoose to store location information with each photo you take .
    Anti-bandSet anti-band as auto, 50 Hz, or 60 Hz .
    Restore DefaultsRestore default camera settings .
     
    Sharing a Picture
        After taking a picture, tap the thumbnail in the corner of the screen and then tap  .
         Scroll through options to send via text messaging or email, Picasa™,  and more .

    Opening Your Gallery
    Gallery helps you view pictures and play  videos . You can also do some basic editing  of your pictures, set them as wallpaper or  contact photos, or share with friends .
        From the home screen, tap Gallery .
      Tap an album .
      Tap a photo or video to view it  .
     
    NumberFunction
    1Tap to return to the album or thumbnails of all the pictures and videos in the album, which are displayed in a grid .
    2Swipe horizontally to see more; double tap a picture to view it in full screen .
    3Delete, edit, share, or set the picture as contact photo, wallpaper, or lock screen wallpaper .
    4Browse the album contents in a slideshow  .

    Shooting Video with Your Camcorder
         From the home screen, tap  .
        Tap  to switch to the camcorder  .
        Zoom in or out by dragging the slider bar  . Tap  to begin recording and  to stop . Tap the video thumbnail in the corner of the screen to view the video you’ve just taken .
    Tip: Take a still photo while recording by tapping  .
    Adjusting Your Video Settings
    Before recording a video, you can tap  to open the following camcorder settings .
    Video QualityChoose the video quality as 720P, 480P, VGA, or MMS Video  .
    Time Lapse  Set the lapse time for recording video .
    White Balance  
    Select how the camcorder adjusts colors in different kinds of light to achieve the most natural looking colors for your videos, or allow the camcorder to adjust the white balance automatically  .
    Geo-tagChoose to store location information with each video you take .
    Restore DefaultsRestore default camcorder settings .

    Sharing a Video
        After recording a video, tap the  thumbnail in the corner of the screen  and then tap  .
        Scroll through options to send via text  messaging or Gmail, Picasa, and more .
    Playing Your Videos
    From the home screen, tap Video  Player . This will open your video library and  show the video files saved in your memory  card . Tap a video file to start playing .

    Adding Music to Your Phone
    You can add music to your phone’s internal storage or to a removable microSD card (see Getting Started – Phone Setup – Inserting a microSD Card) .
    Note: Steps may vary depending on your operating system .
        
    Connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable .
        Tap Media device (MTP) .
         Note: If you have a microSD card in your phone, you may be presented with additional options . 
        On your PC, choose to view files through Windows Explorer  . If you have a Mac, visit http://www .android . com/filetransfer to download the necessary software .
        Choose whether you want to add files to your phone’s internal storage or to the microSD card, and then drag and drop the files you want to transfer  .
        When you’re finished transferring files, open the Notifications panel and tap Connected as a media deviceCharge only . You may now safely disconnect your phone from the computer  .

    Playing Your Music
    You can play the audio files stored in your  phone’s microSD card in Music .
        From the home screen, tap Music to  access the music player  .
        Select Albums/Artists/Songs/Playlists/ Folders/GenreList to find the songs you  want to play .
        Tap an item from the list to start playing .
        Adjust the volume with the  Volume Keys .

    2Tap to toggle repeat mode: repeat all songs, repeat current song, or repeat off  .

    8Creating Playlists
    Playlists help you organize your music files .
      Tap  next to the song in the music library

      Tap New .
      Type the playlist name and tap Save . 
    Managing Playlists
      Tap the Playlists tab in the music library to see your playlists .
      Tap  next to a playlist  . 
      Tap Play, Rename Playlist, or Delete Playlist .
    Note: These options may not be available for certain automatically created playlists, such as Recently added .
    Adding a Song to a Playlist
      Tap  next to the song in the music library  .
      Tap Add to playlist .
      Tap a playlist  .
    Setting a Song as Ringtone
      Tap  next to the song in the music library  .

    Making Memorable Memos
    Sound Recorder enables you to record your voice memos . 
      From the home screen, tap Sound Recorder .
      Tap  to start recording .
      Tap  to stop recording or tap OK to cancel recording .
      Tap  to play the memo  .
    Tip: You can find your recordings by tapping My records .
    Play Any Saved Memo 
      From the home screen, tap Sound Recorder .
      Tap My records .
        Tap the title of a memo to play it  . Choose whether to play the memo with Google Play Music or the native Android music player  .
    Note: You can also tap  next to the memo to delete, share, rename, tag, view file details, or set as a ringtone . 
    Applications
    Alarm
      From the home screen, tap Alarm .
      Tap a default alarm to configure it or tap  to create a new alarm .
      Set up the alarm options, such as time, repeat, and alarm sound .
      Tap Save to save and exit  .
      Tap  next to an alarm to turn on the alarm . 
    Calculator
    From the home screen, tap Calculator .
    Tip: Ta p or  , or swipe left or right to switch between different panels . You can also turn the phone to landscape to see all of the calculator buttons .
    Facebook
      From the home screen, tap Facebook .
      Log in and choose sync options .
    Tip: You can change your Facebook sync settings by pressing SettingsSync Contacts .
    •	Tap  to access your profile, news feed, messages, and more .
    •	Press Settings to change your account settings .
    •	 Tap Status, Photo, or Check In to update your status, upload a photo, or check in at a location .

    File Manager
    From the home screen, tap File Manager .
    •	 
    Tap a folder to view its contents .
    •	 
    Tap and hold a folder or file for options such as Delete, Share, Copy,  and Move .
    Kingsoft Office
    Create, view, and edit Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and other types of files . From the home screen, tap Kingsoft Office .
    Tip: Tap  and scroll to the right to view options .
    NotePad
    From the home screen, tap NotePad to save and view your text notes .
      Tap  to create a new note . 
      Enter your text and tap  to save it  . 
       Tap a note to view it  . You can also edit, delete, share, or export it  .
    Task Manager
    From the home screen, tap Task Manager to view or stop applications .
    •	 
    Tap a task in the Tasks tab to force stop or disable the app, uninstall the app, clear data and cache, or move the app between the internal storage and the memory card; or tap  next to a task to close it .
    •	 Tap  the Apps tab to manage all the apps on your phone .
    •	 Tap  the Resources tab to view the real-time system resources information .
    Tip: If your phone is running slowly, close applications you are not using by pressing and holding  and swiping left or right on applications you wish to close .
    Timer
    From the home screen, tap TimerStopwatch or Countdown .
    Note: You can set up to 20 laps with the stopwatch .
    Twitter
        From the home screen, tap Twitter and sign up for or sign in to your account  .
      Tap  to compose a tweet  .
    Voice Dialer
    From the home screen, tap Voice Dialer and speak a command .

    Google Applications
    Signing in to your Google account lets you synchronize Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts between your phone and the web . If you don’t have an account, you  can easily create one .
        Tap a Google application that needs a Google account, such as Gmail  or Google+ .
        If you’ve got a Google account, tap Existing . Enter your user name  and password and then tap  . (Or tap New if you don’t have a  Google account  .)
      Read the instructions and tap OK .
      Set the backup and restore option and tap  .
    Google Search and Google Now
    Find whatever you’re looking for with Google Search . Google Now tailors your search options over time, learning your preferences and making more accurate predictions for your needs . Google Now will also keep track of what you’re doing and appear when you need it, like showing the next appointment on your calendar and what the traffic is like to get to it  .
    Performing a Search
    From the home screen, tap Google . You can type in search terms, or say “Google” to begin a voice search . 
    You will see results for your search . To search images, places, and more, tap an option on the bar at the bottom of the screen . For additional web results, simply scroll down the screen .
    Gmail
    Gmail is a web-based email service that’s configured when you sign in to your Google account . Depending on your synchronization settings, the Gmail on your phone can be automatically synchronized with your Gmail account on the web  .
    Creating and Sending an Email Through Gmail
      From the home screen, tap Gmail .
      Tap  .
        Enter an email address in the To field . If you’re sending the email to several people, separate the email addresses with commas . You can add as many recipients as you want  .
        Enter the email subject, and then write your email . To add an attachment, press Attach picture or Attach video .
      Tap  to send your email .
    Adding Another Account
      From your Gmail inbox, press SettingsAdd Account .
        Choose to add an existing account or create a new one and follow on-screen instructions to finish account setup  .
    Accessing Account Settings
      From your Gmail inbox, press Settings .
        Tap an account name, or tap General settings to change settings for  all accounts .

    Google Play
    Google Play gives you access to thousands of free and paid apps, games, books and magazines, music, and movies .
    From the home screen, tap  .
    Navigating Google Play
    From Play Store, you will have multiple ways to search for apps, games and more .
        Tap a category to browse popular apps, games, movies and TV, books, and music organized by popularity or category  .
        Tap  to search the Play Store for a specific item, such as a game or app  .
        To install, tap the app and follow instructions . Once installed, you will  see a notification in the Notifications panel . Open the app from this notification or by locating the app in  .
    Note: A Google Wallet™ payment method is required to purchase apps .
    Using Google Calendar
    From the home screen, tap Calendar to use Google Calendar, Google’s time management application . You can use the calendar to schedule appointments, including meetings and other events . Your appointments will be displayed on the screen as they are scheduled . You can also synchronize appointments to your Google account, which enables you to manage your schedule online on your PC .
    Accessing Calendar Settings
      While in the calendar, press Settings .
        Tap an account name, or tap General settings to change settings for all accounts .
    Google Music
    You can access up to 20,000 songs from your music collection by storing them in the cloud . You can also purchase music through Google Play with this app  . 
    From the home screen, tap Play Music to access Google Music .
    •	Swipe left or right with your finger to access different areas of the app .
    •	You can view recently played songs, and you can also view music by playlist, artist, album, song, or genre . 
    Using Google+ Hangouts
    Google+ Hangouts is replacing Google Talk™ . Bring your conversations to life with photos, emoji, and even group video calls for free . 
    Starting a Hangout
      Press the Home Key and select Hangouts . 
      Tap  . 
        You can search for contacts via name, email, phone number or circle, or scroll down and tap the desired contacts to select them .
       To send a message to the selected recipients, tap Message . Or, to start a video call, tap Video call .
    Returning to an Existing Hangout
       Press  the Home Key and select Hangouts . 
      Tap the desired hangout to open it  . Your chat history will be displayed .
    Deleting a Hangout
    In the Hangouts app, press and hold an existing hangout until it is selected .  Tap DeleteDelete .
