    1.3.3 Experiencing 3D Virtual Effects
    This monitor is a 3D Vision ready LCD monitor supports PC timing up to 
    1920x1080@120Hz.
    To experience fully immersive stereoscopic 3D virtual effects, you will \
    require an NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ kit, a compatible NVIDIA-GPU graphics 
    card, and a computer with Microsoft® Windows® Vista or Windows® 7 
    operating system installed. Please visit NVIDIA website (http://www.nvi\
    dia.
    com/) for more information.
    The video formats supported for 3D vision of HDMI input are “Frame Packing”, “Side by Side(Half)”, and “Top-and-Bottom”. Please refer to Section 3.4 for timing list.
    To connect the DVI(Dual link) or HDMI cable
    Connect with a DVI(Dual link) or HDMI cable to the monitor and your 
    computer. You can use the HDMI cable only if your computer has an HDMI 
    compliance graphics card that is either integrated or installed.
    To support 3D Vision, please make sure the HDMI cable is properly connec\
    ted the monitor and your 3D Vision compatible graphics card.

    1.3.4 How to use your wireless 3D glasses
    Charge your wireless glasses before using:
    Connect one end of the USB cable to your PC or notebook that equipped 
    with USB port, and the other end to the micro USB port of the glasses.

    Used to recharge the glasses.
    Press the On/Off button:
    Press the On/Off button to turn on or off the power for this 3D glasses.\
     You 
    may check the built-in battery status by examing the light:
    •	Green: The battery is fully charged.
    •	Red: The battery is running out, and needs recharge.
    •	No Light: The battery is exhausted, and needs recharge immediately.

    2.1 Assembling the monitor base
    To assemble the monitor base:
    1. Attach the base to the arm.
    2. Fix with the screws to joint the base with the arm. You can easily 
    tighten	the	screws	by	fingers.
    3. Remove the height adjustment lock from the arm.

    The height adjustment lock should NEVER be removed BEFORE you place the \
    monitor VERTICALLY on a flat and clean table.

    2.2 Adjusting the monitor
    •	For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the \
    monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable 
    for you.
    •	Hold the base to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its 
    angle.
    •	You	can	tilt	the	monitor’s	from	-5˚	to	+15˚,	swivel	from	left-to-right	for	
    150˚,	and	lift	the	monitor’s	height	for	about	100mm.

    It is normal that the monitor slightly shakes while you adjust the viewi\

    2.3 Detaching the arm (for VESA wall 
    mount)
    The detachable arm of this monitor is specially designed for VESA wall 
    mount.
    To detach the arm:
    1. Disconnect power and signal cables.
    2. Lower the monitor to its lowest height, and then insert the height 
    adjustment lock.
    3. Carefully put	the	front	of	the	monitor	face	down	on	a	flat	and	clean	
    table.
    4. Use a screwdriver to remove the four screwdrivers on the arm, and 
    then detach the arm from the monitor.
    •	We recommend that you cover the table surface with soft cloth to prevent\
     damage to the monitor.
    •	Hold the stand while removing the screws.
    •	The VESA wall mount kit ( 100 x 100 mm) is purchased separately.
    •	Use only the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load 33.2k\
    g (Screw size: M4 x 10 mm).

    1. Press [] button to activate the OSD menu.
    2. Press [] or [] button to navigate through the functions. 
    Highlight and activate the desired function by pressing [] 
    button. If there is a sub-menu in the function selected, press [] 
    or [] button again to navigate through the sub-menu functions. 
    Highlight and activate the desired sub-menu function by pressing  
    [] button.
    3. Press [] or [] button to change the settings of the selected 
    function.
    4. To exit the OSD menu, press [] button. Repeat step 2 and step 3 to

    •	Scenery Mode: The best choice for scenery photo display with 
    SPLENDID™ Video Enhancement.
    •	Standard Mode: The best choice for document editing with

    •	Theater Mode: The best choice for movie with SPLENDID™ 
    Video Enhancement.
    •	Game Mode: The best choice for game playing with 
    SPLENDID™ Video Enhancement.
    •	Night View Mode: The best choice dark-scene game or movie 
    with SPLENDID™ Video Enhancement.
    •	sRGB Mode: Compatible with sRGB color space. sRGB mode 
    is the best choice for document editing.
    •	In the Standard Mode, the Saturation and ASCR functions are not user-configurable.
    •	In the other modes, the sRGB function is not user-configurable.

    button is a hotkey to activate this function.
    •	Contrast: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.

    •	Color Temp.: Contains four color modes: “Cool”, “Normal”, 
    “Warm”, and “User Mode”.
    In the User mode for Color Temp., the colors of R (Red), G (Green), \
    and B (Blue) are user-configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
    •	Skin Tone: Contains three color modes including “Reddish”, 
    “Natural”, and “Yellowish”.
    •	Smart View: Enable a clearer visibility after tilted the screen.
    •	NVIDIA®  Lightboost™: With the 3D signal input connected, 
    this option will be available to adjust lightness. Press [] or [
    ] button to change the settings.

    •	Sharpness: Adjust the picture sharpness. The adjusting range 
    is from 0 to 100.
    •	Trace Free: Speed up the response time. The adjusting range is 
    from 0 to 100.
    •	Aspect Control: Adjust the aspect ratio to “4:3”, “Full”, or 
    “OverScan”. (The “OverScan” ratio is only available for HDMI 
    input.)
    •	ASCR: Turn on or off the ASCR (ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio) 
    function. (Only available at Scenery Mode, Theater Mode, 
    Game Mode, and Night View Mode.)
    •	Position: Adjust the horizontal position (H-Position) and the 
    vertical position (V-Position) of the image. The adjusting range is 
    from 0 to 100. (Only available for VGA input.)
    •	Focus: Reduce Horizontal-line noise and Vertical-line noise 
    of the image by adjusting (Phase) and (Clock) separately. The 
    adjusting range is from 0 to 100. (Only available for VGA input.)
    •	Phase adjusts the phase of the pixel clock signal. With a wrong phase adjustment, the screen shows horizontal disturbances.
    •	Clock (pixel frequency) controls the number of pixels scanned by one horizontal sweep. If the frequency is not correct, the screen shows vert\
    ical stripes and the image is not proportional.
