Trytouselessdetergent,andincreaseonly ifyouarenotsatisfiedwiththeresults. Dyeingfabrics Ifyouwanttodyefabricsinthemachine,se- lecttheNormalprogramwiththeSuperRinse optionOn.Selecttemperatureaccordingto thedyemanufacturer’srecommendations. Choosealowspinspeedifthefabrictobe dyedisablendedmaterialsuchas polyester/cotton. Note! Addthedyedirectlytothewashingdrum– nottothedetergentcompartment.Afterdye- ing,youshouldrunthemachineemptyusing thesameprogram.Usethenormalamount ofdetergent. Note! Duetoenvironmentalconcerns,wediscour- agetheuseofstrongchemicals. Whenusingagentsforbleachingorstainre- moval,thereisariskofrust(corrosion)and discolorationofthemachine. Liquiddetergents Wedon’trecommendliquiddetergentsbe- causetheytendtoproducemoresudsthan powderdetergentswhenusedinwatertem- peraturesof150°Forhigher.Ifyoushould tryaliquiddetergent,startwithaverysmall amount,suchas1to2tablespoons.Also, liquiddetergentcanbeusedforallprograms withoutprewash,soadditintothemainwash compartment. Detergents Laundrydetergentsareavailableinlow-, normal-andhigh-sudsingformulas.Adeter- gent´sabilitytocleanisnotrelativetothe amountofsudsitproduces.Excesssudsin afront-loadingwasheractuallyinterferewith thecleaningbecausetheycushionthetum- blingaction.Also,high-sudsingdetergents aremoredifficulttocompletelyrinseout.The useofanythingotherthanalow-sudsingde- tergentcancausesevereoversudsing,which couldcausesudstobackupthroughthede- tergentcompartmentandrundownthefront ofthewasherontothefloor.Ifoversudsing occurs,runthewashthroughoneormore rinseprogramsuntilallitemsarethoroughly rinsed.Removethelaundrythenrunthe washerthroughaNormalwashprogramto getridofanyremainingdetergent.Werecom- mendthatyoudon’tusebleachinyourASKO washer.Thetumblingwashaction,tempera- turecontroloptions,extendedwashtimes andproperamountofdetergentaresufficient toremovemoststains.
