    Ifyouwanttoaddorremoveitemsafterthe
    programhasstarted,youcanstopthe
    programbypressingandholdingtheDoor
    openingbutton(keysymbol)forthree
    seconds.Theredfieldwillflash.Whenyou
    restartthemachine,addanyextradetergent
    neededandclosethedoor.Themachine
    continuesautomaticallyfromthepointwhere
    theprogramwasinterrupted.
    Stoppingorchangingaprogram
    Youcanalsostopaprogrambypressingthe
    Start/Stopbuttonforthreeseconds.Torestart
    themachine,selectanewprogram,addany

    shownintheillustration.
    3.Drainoutthewater,intoabowl,for
    example,byunhookingthedrainagehose
    fromthepininsidethehatch.
    4.Unscrewthecoveranti-clockwiseand
    remove.
    5.Removeanyforeignobjectsfromthetrap
    andpumpassembly.Checktoseethatthe
    pumpblades,rightattheback,willrotate.
    6.Screwonthecover,replacethedrainage
    hoseonthehatchpinandclosethehatch.
    Cleaningthedetergent
    compartment
    Pullthedetergentcompartmentoutasfaras
    itwillgo.
    Thenpullitupandoutasshowninthe
    illustration.
    Rinsethecompartmentandscrubitclean.
    Replacethecompartment.
    Note!
    Donotrunthedetergentcompartment
    throughadishwasher!

    							Cleaningtheinsideofthemachine
    toavoidunpleasantsmells
    Moderndetergentsoftenallowclothestobe
    washedatlowtemperatures.Thismeansthat
    smalldepositscanbuildupinthemachine.
    These,inturn,mayleadtounpleasantsmells
    developing;especiallyifconstantlyusingcold
    wash.
    Toavoidthis,werecommendrunninga95
    °Cwashprogramonceamonth.Whenyou
    dothis,useasmallquantityofdetergent.It
    isnotnecessarytoputanywashinginthe
    machine.
    Rinseholesundertheagitator
    Ifyouthinkthatanobject,suchasanailora
    paperclip,mayhavefallenthroughthewash
    drum,youshouldcheckthecontainerunder
    theagitator.Objectsofthiskindcanrustand
    causespotsonclothing.Nailsandothersharp
    objectscanmakeholesinfabric.
    Doasfollows:
    1.Useascrewdriverorsimilartool.
    2.Insertthescrewdriverintothecentralhole
    ontheagitatorandturnthescrewdriver
    handlegentlytotheleft.
    3.Withyourotherhand,holdtheagitatorand
    pullittowardsyouasshowninthe
    illustration.
    4.Lifttheagitator.
    5.Removeanyobjects.
    6.Placetheagitatorinthemountingholewith
    theF-marktowardsyou.Ensurethatallthe
    agitatorfastenersareintheirholesinthe
    drum.Pushitawayfromyouuntilit
    catches.
    Ifyouhavehardwater
    Ifyouliveinanareawithhardwater
    (limescale),thewasherdrummaydevelopa
    greyish-whitecoating.Toremovethis,empty
    asachetofcitricacid,approx.20gram,into
    thewasherdrumandruntheNormalprogram
    at95°C.Repeatifnecessary.

    							Thewasherdoorwillnotopen
    1.Checkthatthemainpowerswitchison.
    2.Hasthepowersupplybeencutoff?Check
    thehousefuses(circuitbreakers).The
    washerdoorcannotbeopenedifthepower
    supplyhasbeencutoff.
    Ifnothingelseworks,thewasherdoor
    canbeopenedasfollows:
    •Thismustonlybedoneinanemergency
    ifthemachine'sglassdoordoesnot
    openautomaticallywhentheprogram
    hasfinished.
    •Firstcheckthatthereisnowaterleftin
    themachine.Ifthereisanywaterleft
    andyouareunabletoruntheDrain
    program,emptythemachineby
    detachingthedrainagehose.Thisis
    describedundertheheading“Checking
    theTrapandDrainagepump”,in
    chapter11,“Careandcleaning”.
    •Makesurethatthemainspowerswitch
    isoffandthattheplughasbeen
    removedfromthewallsocket.
    •Openthehatchtothedrainagepump,
    bottomleftasshownintheillustration.
    •Unfastenthescrewsholdingthered
    plastichandleinplace.
    •Pullthehandleandthedooropens.
    •Insertthehandlebackintoitsslotand
    screwittight.Closethehatchtothe
    drainagepump.
    Ifthemachine'sglassdoordoesnotopenthe
    nexttimeawashingprogramhasfinished,
    calltheservicedivision.
    Themachinewillnotstart
    1.Isthewasherdoorproperlyclosed?Push
    itfirmly.
    2.Istherepower?Checkyourhome’sfuses.

    machinetoleaveerrormessagemode.
    Theerrormessagesthatmaybeshownare:
    Thedoorisnotclosed
    IfL1isflashing,youtriedtostartaprogram
    withthewasherdooropen.Closethedoor
    andtheprogramwillstart.
    Overflowfault
    IfalltheredfieldsaroundtheStart/Stopand
    Dooropening(keysymbol)buttonsare
    flashing,thereistoomuchwaterinthe
    machine.
    1.Shutoffthewatertap.
    2.Calltheservicedivision.
    Wateroutletfault(GreyHose)
    IfL3isflashing,thereisaproblemwith
    drainage.Check:
    •thatnoobjectsarestuckinthedrainage
    hoseoutlet.
    •thatthedrainagepumpisnotblockedby
    foreignobjects.Cleanthepump(seethe
    “Careandcleaning”chapter).
    •thattherearenokinksinthedrainage
    hose.
    Waterinletfault(WhiteHose)
    Faultwithwatersupply.Check:
    IfL4isflashing,thereisaproblemwith

    washers.
