Replacing the Hard Drive Fan Route the hard drive fan cable around the bottom of the fan and up toward the optical drive. 1. Look at the cable routing in the photo above. Align and install the hard drive fan on the mounting posts. Push it down snug onto the 2. posts. Replace the logic board. 3. Replace the optical drive. 4. Replace the speakers. 5. Using a T 2. orx T10 screwdriver, remove the machine screw from the power inlet ground cable. r Peel the EMI tape off the power inlet. 3. Install the power inlet ground cable to the chassis with a machine screw. 2. Route the power inlet cable beneath the chassis as shown and connect it to the power 3. supply. Using EMI tape, securely tape the top and bottom edges of the AC power inlet to the rear 4. housing. Replace the hard drive fan. 5. Replace the logic board. 6. Replace the optical drive. 7.
