2Alignthecaptivescrewsontheprocessorfanheat-sinkassemblywiththe
screwholesonthesystemboard.
3Inanon-adjacentsequence,tightenthecaptivescrewsthatsecurethe processorfanandheat-sinkassemblytothesystemboard.
4Connecttheprocessor-fancabletothesystemboard.

1Ensurethatthereleaseleverontheprocessorsocketisfullyextendedand
theprocessorcoverisfullyopen.
CAUTION:Positiontheprocessorcorrectlyintheprocessor
sockettoavoidpermanentdamagetotheprocessor.
2Alignthepin-1cornerontheprocessorwiththepin-1corneronthe processorsocket,andthenplacetheprocessorintheprocessorsocket.
CAUTION:Ensurethattheprocessor-covernotchispositioned
underneaththealignmentpost.
3Whentheprocessorisfullyseatedinthesocket,closetheprocessorcover.
