www.aleratec.com19 3. Add any data file by using the “Add” option or by dragging and dropping a file or files into the large white area. When finished adding, click the “Next” button. 4. The next display you will see is a label printing screen. Un-check the “Print label” box at the bottom center of the display and click the “Next” button.

In the final display before creating an image, make sure that “Image Recorder” in the dropdown menu to the right of “Current Recorder” is selected. Fill out the disc name if you would like, and when you are ready, press the “Burn” button at the lower right. 6. After the burn button is pressed the “Save Image File” screen will appear. In the lowest dropdown menu called “Save as type:” select “ISO Image Files (.iso)”. Type in the name you would like the image file to be and then click the “Save” button.
www.aleratec.com21 7. After clicking the save button the write progress screen will appear. 8. The image process is successful when Nero displays this screen.
www.aleratec.com22 Creating an Image fr\oom a Source Disc 1. From the main menu of Nero Express, select the “Image, Project, Copy” option. From the right menu choose either “Copy Entire CD” or “Copy Entire DVD”. 2. The next screen displayed will contain the source drive and destination drive of the copy that will be performed. For the “Source drive” dropdown menu, ensure that the drive selected is the drive that contains the source disc that you will be creating an image of. The “Destination drive” dropdown menu will need to be selected as the “Image Recorder”. This will allow you to save the image to your computer’s hard drive. Leave the number of copies at “1”. When your settings are correct, click the “Copy” button.
www.aleratec.com23 3. The next step requires you to tell Nero where to save the image file. Name the file and notice that it will save the file as a Nero image file (.nrg). When you are ready click the “Save” button and Nero will begin copying the source disc. 4. The Nero progress bar will be displayed and when you are finished you will see a final screen displaying your file was successful.
www.aleratec.com24 Getting Acquainted with the\o Ro\foRacer LS Softwa\ore 1. Connect the USB cable from the DVD/CD RoboRacer LS to the PC and power on the DVD/CD RoboRacer LS. Check to see that Windows has recognized the new device. To do this, go to “My Computer” and check to see that the Aleratec drive has appeared. If the drive is not displayed in “My Computer” the RoboRacer LS software will not work. \bote: In some cases the PC will not boot if the RoboRacer LS is connected to the PC and powered on before the PC. 2. Open the RoboRacer LS software by double-clicking the RoboRacer LS icon. The screen shown below will be displayed. The “RoboRacer LS Automation” tab contains the following: a. The operation that RoboRacer LS is running will be displayed in the box area. (shown blank here) b. The upper left corner displays the current COM port and drive letter location.
www.aleratec.com25 c. “Go!” starts the automatic operation of the DVD/CD RoboRacer LS for “LightScribe Labeling” and begins the “Disc Recording” procedure for automatically burning pre-existing disc images. The “Go!” button can be activated after “Disc Recording” or “LightScribe Labeling” is selected. \bote: Click the Aleratec logo to go to the Aleratec website. Click the “B\fy Media” b\ftton to go to Aleratec’s media webpage for an excellent selection of d\fplicator grade LightScribe recording media. d. Click “Cancel” to stop current auto loading actions. e. To start a new job, select the “Disc Recording” or “LightScribe Labeling” and click the “Go!” to restart. 3. The “Utilities” tab manually operates the RoboRacer LS. a. The “Remove Disc” button ejects the drive tray and rotates the drive tray arm to the side allowing the hinged part of the tray to drop to the reject disc position. b. The “Eject” button will open the drive tray. c. The “Load Disc” button will eject the drive tray and activate the disc loading mechanism causing a disc to drop into the drive tray . The drive tray will then close. d. The “Close Tray” button will close the drive tray. abcd

After loading the disc, click the “Eject” button and the disc should be delivered to the output bin. The DVD/CD RoboRacer LS is ready to use.
