23 TURNING CHANNEL-STORAGE BANKS OFF AND ON To turn off banks while scanning, press the banks number key until the bar under the banks number disappears. The scanner does not scan any of the channels within the banks you have turned off. Notes: l You cannot turn off all banks. There must be at least one active bank. l You can manually select any channel in a bank, even if the bank is turned off. To turn on banks while scanning, press the banks number key until a bar appears under the banks number. MOVING...

27 SPECIAL FEATURES DELAY Many agencies use a two-way radio system that might have a pause of several seconds between a query and a reply. Your scanners delay feature lets it wait for 2 seconds after each transmission on a channel or frequency while scanning or searching. To program a 2-second delay for a channel while scanning, manually select the channel and press FUNC then press DELAY/CL until DELAY appears. When your scanner stops on the channel, it waits for 2 seconds after each transmission on...

28 To lock out a frequency during a each search mode, press L/OUT when the scanner stops on the frequency. The scanner locks out the frequency, then continues searching. Notes: l The scanner does not store locked-out frequencies during search. l You can lock out as many as 200 frequencies. 30 CHANGING THE AM/FM/WFM RECEIVE MODE The scanner is preset to the most common AM/FM/WFM receive mode for each frequency range.
