Modular Tower Assembly  Instructions
TW-MKL: L-Bracket Mounting Kit contents:
4 - L-Bolts
8 - ¾” Hex Nuts
8 - ¾” Washers
1 - Printed Template
• It is recommended to transfer the provided template to a piece of wood b\
etween ½” and 1” thick.
•  Use that wood template to replicate the tower base and secure it to the \
L-bolts with the provided 
washers and nuts.
Ensure all of the components required to complete the installation are p\
resent prior to beginning.
Installation:
 
1.  Intercom and electrical wire conduits should be run through the foun\
dation and into the center 4”   
     diameter hole of the tower. These cable runs must be run separately, not in the same conduit.   
      Note: It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that all appli\
cable electrical codes are met.  
2.  Pour the foundation at least 2 feet in diameter and 3 feet deep and in accordance with local 
     building codes and frost line.  
3.  Install the four ¾” x 24” long anchor bolts below the grade with five inches projecting above the   
     grade (see base drawing below). Use the template to properly posi\
tion the bolts within the 
     concrete foundation.

Modular Section Contents:
Base section with access panel and 2 screws to secure panel.
Middle section with 4 bolts for securing middle section to base section.\
Upper section with 4 bolts for securing upper section to middle section \
or base section.

							Installation con’t:
4.  Once the foundation is set, remove the template. Install one ¾”\
 nut  
     and one washer on each anchor bolt 2 - 2.5” above grade to the t\
op 
     of the washer. This will allow for a ½” air gap between the foundation 
     and tower base to allow airflow and prevent moisture problems. 
     Verify that the nuts are level. 
5.  After removing the access panel from the tower base, carefully install 
     the base onto the bolts ensuring that the unit is oriented in the 
     desired direction (access panel is on the back). The tower base will 
     rest on the leveling bolts/washers. Ensure that the tower base is l\
evel 
     at this point. Install the second set of nuts and washers on the bo\
lts 
     and carefully tighten them, securing the tower base to the foundati\
on. 
     Adjust as necessary. 
6.  If installing a beacon/strobe, feed the wires for the light through \
the 
     hole on the top of the upper modular section of the tower. Secure the 
     top plate to the upper modular section of the tower using the provided 
     screws. The beacon/strobe will require a dedicated 24V DC power 
     supply. The same power supply can be used to power the LED 
     illuminator in the middle tower section.  
7.  Place the upper section of the tower onto the middle section of the \
     tower, ensuring that the light wires (if present) feed down into the 
     middle section. Carefully align and secure the sections together 
     using the provided bolts. Use caution to prevent damage to the 
     mating gasket. Use the door station opening in the middle section t\
o 
     access the bolt holes and secure from the middle section up into th\
e 
     upper section. 
8.  Place the middle and upper sections together onto the base section 
     of the tower and carefully align them, using caution to avoid damag\
e 
     to the mating gasket.  (It is recommended to have two people to 
     lift these two sections into place).  Feed the wires for the light (if 
     present) down into the base section of the tower. Use the provided 
     bolts to secure the middle section to the base section. Use the 
     access panel opening in the base section to access the bolt holes, \
     securing from the bottom up.
