12Chapter 1 Bottom View #ItemDescription 1 Battery bay Houses the computer’s battery pack. 2 Battery lock Locks the battery in position. 3 Cooling fan Helps keep the computer cool. Note: Do not cover or obstruct the opening of the fan. 4 Mini PCI card bay Houses the computer’s Mimi PCI card. 5 Memory and hard disk bay Houses the computer’s main memory and hard disk (secured with screws). 6 Battery release latch Release the battery for removal.
Chapter 113 Indicators The computer has three easy-to-read status indicators on the left side of the keyboard, and four on the front panel. The power, battery and wireless communiction status indicators are visible even when the LCd display is closed. NOTE: 1. Charging: The light shwos amber when the battery is charging. 2. The are: mail, Web Browser, Empowering Key < > and one user-programmable button. Press < > to run the Acer Empowering Technology.
