Chapter 113 Hot Keys The computer employs hot keys or key combinations to access most of the computer’s controls like screen contrast and brightness, volume output and the BIOS Utility. 14 Chapter 1 Launch Keys Located at the top of the keyboard are four buttons. These buttons are called launch keys. They are designated as key 1, key 2, key 3 and key 4. By default, key 1 is used to launch the internet browser and key 2 is used to launch the e-mail application. Keys 3 and 4 starts the Launch Manager application. All four keys can be set by the user. To set the launch keys, run the Acer Launch Manager.

Chapter 115 Touchpad The built-in touchpad is a PS/2-compatible pointing device that senses movement on its surface. This means that the cursor responds as you move your finger on the surface of the touchpad. The central location on the palmrest provides optimum comfort and support.
