    Installation
    Power/Standby
    Powering On the Projector
    1.Remove the lens cap.
    2.Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely
    connected.  The Power LED will turn red.
    3.Turn on the lamp by pressing “Power/Standby” button on
    the control panel. n
    The startup screen will display for 30 seconds and the
    Power LED will flash green.
    When the startup screen disappears, the Power LED will
    turn green.
    4.Turn on your source (computer, notebook, video player, etc.).
    The projector will detect your source automatically.
    ™If the screen displays “Searching”,  please make sure the signal
    cables are securely connected.
    ™If you connect multiple sources at the same time, using the
    “Source” button on the control panel to switch.
    Powering On/Off the Projector

    projector first and then
    the signal sources.

    Warning Indicator
    ™When the “TEMP” indicator turns red, it indicates the projector
    has overheated. The projector will automatically shut itself down.
    See page 32.
    ™When the “LAMP” indicator flashes red (0.5 second intervals),
    it indicates a problem with the lamp.  Turn off the projector and
    disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, then contact
    your local dealer or our service center. See page 32.
    ™When the “LAMP” indicator flashes red (1 second intervals), it
    indicates the fan failed.  Stop using the projector and disconnect
    the power cord from the electrical outlet, then contact your local
    dealer or our service center. See page 32.
    Powering Off the Projector
    1.Press the “Power/Standby” button to turn off the projector
    lamp, you will see a message “Please press power button
    again to complete the shutdown process.  Warning: DO
    NOT unplug while the projector fan is still running.” on
    the on-screen display.
    2.Press the “Power/Standby” button again to confirm.
    Otherwise the message will disappear after 10 seconds.
    3.The cooling fans continue to operate for about 120 seconds
    for cooling cycle and the Power LED will turn red.  When the
    light stops flashing, the projector has entered standby mode.
    If you wish to turn the projector back on, you must wait until
    the projector has completed the cooling cycle and has
    entered standby mode.  Once in standby mode, simply press
    “Power/Standby” button to restart the projector.
    4.Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet and the
    projector.
    5.Do not turn on the projector immediately following a power
    off procedure.

    The projector is equipped with an elevator foot for adjust-
    ing the image height.
    To raise the image:
    1.Press the elevator button 
    n.
    2.Raise the image to the desired height angle o, then
    release the button to lock the elevator foot into position.
    3.Use 
    p to fine-tune the display angle.
    To lower the image:
    1.Press the elevator button.
    2.Lower the image, then release the button to lock the
    elevator foot into position.
    3.Use 
    p to fine-tune the display angle.

    Adjusting the Projector Zoom / Focus
    You may turn the zoom ring to zoom in or out.  To focus the
    image, rotate the  focus ring until the image is clear. The projector
    will focus at distances from 3.9 to 39.4 feet (1.2 to 12.0 meters).

    There are two ways for you to control the functions: Remote
    Control and Control Panel.
    Using the Control Panel
    Power/Standby
    4Refer to the “Power On/Off the Projector” section on pages
    11-12.
    Source
    4Press “Source” to choose RGB, Component-p, Component-i,
    S-Video, Composite Video and HDTV sources.
    Menu
    4Press “Menu” to launch the on screen display (OSD)
    menu. To exit OSD, press “Menu” again.
    Keystone    /  
    4Adjusts image distortion caused by tilting the projector (±16
    degrees).
    Four Directional Select Keys
    4Use         to select items or make adjustments to
    your selection.
    4 for Enter function to confirm your selection of items .
    Re-Sync   (Only Analog RGB signal valid)
    4Automatically synchronizes the projector to the input source.
    Empowering Key
    4 Display the “Display Mode” submenu of the onscreen display
    menu to select display mode from PC, Movie, sRGB and User
    directly.

    Sync

    Display Format

    menu to select the desired aspect ratio.
    Laser Button  
    4Aim the remote at the viewing screen, press and hold this
    button to activate the laser pointer.
    A/V Mute
    4Momentarily turns off the audio and video.
    Freeze
    4Press “Freeze” to pause the screen image.
    Display Mode
    4 Display the “Display Mode” submenu of the onscreen display
    menu to select display mode from PC, Movie, sRGB and User
    directly.
    Mouse/Mouse Right Click/Mouse Left Click  (*)
    4These functions are the same as a mouse of PC or Mac.
    Page Up  (*)
    4Use this button to page up.
    Page Down  (*)
    4Use this button to page down.
    Page Scrolling (*)
    4Control the scroll bar to move the screen up or down.
    Zoom In   /Zoom Out 
    4Press  or  button to zoom the lens in or zoom out.

    Source Lock
    4Select auto detection all connector ports or lock current
    connector port.
    Menu
    4Press “Menu” to launch the on screen display menu.  To exit
    OSD, press “Menu” again.
    VGA
    4Press “VGA” to change source to VGA-In connector.  This
    connector supports Analog RGB, YPbPr (480p/576p/720p/
    1080i), YCbCr (480i/576i) and RGBsync.
    DVI
    4Press “DVI” to change source to DVI connector.  This
    connector supports Digital RGB, Analog RGB, YPbPr (480p/
    576p/720p/1080i), YCbCr (480i/576i) and HDCP signal.
    Component
    4Press “Component” to change source to component connector.
    This connector supports YPbPr (480p/576p/720p/1080i) and
    YCbCr (480i/576i).
    S-Video
    4Press “S-Video” to change source to S-Video source.
    Video
    4Press “Video” to change source to Composite Video source.

    The Projector has multilingual On Screen Display menus that allow
    you to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings. The
    projector will automatically detect the source.
    How to operate
    1.To open the OSD menu, press “Menu” on the Remote
    Control or Control Panel.
    2.When OSD is displayed, use     keys to select any item in
    the main menu. After selecting the desired main menu item,
    press 
     to enter sub menu for feature setting.
    3.Use    keys to select the desired item and adjust the settings
    by 
        key.
    4.Select the next item to be adjusted in the sub menu and adjust as
    described above.
    5.Press “Menu” to confirm, and the screen will return to the main
    menu.
    6.To exit OSD, press “Menu”again.  The OSD menu will close and
    the projector will automatically save the new settings.

    Color
    Display Mode
    There are many factory presets optimized for various types of
    images.
    4PC : For computer or notebook.
    4Movie : For home theater.
    4sRGB : For PC standard color.
    4User : Memorize user’s settings.
    Brightness
    Adjust the brightness of the image.
    4Press the  to darken image.
    4Press the  to lighten the image.
    Contrast
    The contrast controls the degree of difference between the
    lightest and darkest parts of the picture. Adjusting the contrast
    changes the amount of black and white in the image.
    4Press the  to decrease the contrast.
    4Press the  to increase the contrast.
    Color Temp.
    Adjust the color temperature. At higher temperature, the screen
    looks colder; at lower temperature, the screen looks warmer.

    Color
    ™“Saturation” and
    “Tint” functions are
    not supported under
    computer mode or
    DVI mode.
    White Segment
    Use the white Segment control to set the white peaking level of
    DMD chip. 0 stands for minimal segment, and 10 stands for
    maximum segment.  If you prefer a stronger image, adjust
    towards the maximum setting.  For a smooth and more natural
    image, adjust towards the minimum setting.
    Degamma
    Effects the represent of dark scenery.  With greater gamma
    value, dark scenery will look brighter.
    Color R
    Adjusts the red color.
    Color G
    Adjusts the green color.
    Color B
    Adjusts the blue color.
    Saturation
    Adjusts a video image from black and white to fully saturated
    color.
    4Press the  to decrease the amount of color in the image.
    4Press the  to increase the amount of color in the image.
    Tint
    Adjusts the color balance of red and green.
    4Press the  to increase the amount of green in the image.
    4Press the  to increase the amount of red  in the image.
