ACCUSPLITA925MXTBL Wrist-Worn Stopwatch with Split Memory Operating Instructions Congratulations on your purchase of an A925MXTBL stopwatch for the wrist! You’re about to enjoy the convenience of having professional timing right at your fingertips when you need it, plus a regular wristwatch whenever you don’t. SETUP Most watches ship with a battery inter- rupt in place to save battery life. Turn the watch over and use a quarter or nickle to twist open the battery compartment hatch. Remove clear plastic strip from underneath the battery. Replace the bat- tery, taking care to ensure that the posi- tive (+) terminal is facing up. Replace the battery compartment hatch and tighten with the coin, making sure that the small arrow points to the dot at the top of the watch case when you are finished. Peel the simulated display sticker off the watch face. Your new watch has four modes of op- eration: 1/100th second Memory Stop- watch with Turbo features, Triple-mode Timer, plus two Time-of-Day/Date/Alarm modes. When the battery is enabled, your watch will come to life in stopwatch mode. Press the Lbutton to cycle be- tween the modes. Your watch also has an Electroluminescent backlight. Press the EL button to activate the backlight. STOPWATCH MODE The watch features a professional timing circuit with powerful stopwatch features. This is how the display looks when in stopwatch mode. 0:32:29.38 0:05:03.1 1 ACCUSPLIT ∞ S1/S4 S2 AOS L E L S3M 925MXTURBO 4SPLIT Master Reset Its a good idea to reset the stopwatch each time before use. Push S2 for 2 seconds to Reset** Event Timing Event timing is the simplest form of tim- ing. It is good when you want to mea- sure the total time from the start to the finish of a particular event. S2 – Start S2 – Stop (Display shows “SPLIT”) S2 (2sec) – Reset** Dual Split Memory with Split Counter When timing an activity with pauses or repeated events, you will need to use split timing with memories. S2 – Start (Shows Running DUAL Time) S2 – Split* (Top shows CUM 1, Bottom shows LAP 1) S2 – Split* (shows CUM 2, Bottom shows LAP 2) S2 – Split* (Top shows CUM 3, Bottom shows LAP 3) S2 – Split* (Top shows CUM 4, Bottom shows LAP 4) S2 (2sec) – Reset** *Split Counter always shows Current Split Note: You can always press S1/S4 to return to Running Time. Memory Review (before Resetting) M – Review* (Bottom shows AVE LAP Split, Top shows TOTAL ELAPSED TIME) M – Review (Shows last DUAL Split) M – Review (Shows next DUAL Split, in reverse order) *Reviews at any time in reverse numerical order. Hold down for Rapid Review. STOPWATCH AND SPEED/RATE The advanced “Turbo” functions on the watch calculate speed or rate once distance has been input into the watch (recall that Rate = Units/Time). Speed/Rate Function Setting S1(2sec) - Enter Turbo (Speed/Rate) Set Function S1(4sec) – Enter set function and Reset Turbo fields to zero (as for DUAL SPLIT timing) S2 – Select field to be Set (field will flash) S3 – Set field to Desired Setting S4 – Exit Setting Function When a Distance or Sample Count Is set In Turbo Set Up mode, “SPD” (Speed) indicator will be illuminated at bottom of display. The number you enter should correspond to the Distance or Sample Count you want to use for the Speed or Rate Computation. “P-HR” in display means watch is set to compute “per Hour” rate, and “P-Mn” means watch is set to compute a “per Minute” rate. If you want the watch to compute in “per Sec” rate, divide the Distance or Sample Count (Strokes, Strides, Units, etc.) by 60, then enter it. For example, let’s say that you are at a race track with a course that is one mile long. If you set the Distance to 1.00 and the rate to “P-HR,” and then time several laps, the Average Speed recorded by the watch will be in miles per hour. Speed/Rate Function Operation S2 – Start (Shows Running LAP Time) S2 – Split* (Top and Bottom show SPEED/RATE 1/LAP 1) S2 – Split* (Top and Bottom show SPEED/RATE 2/LAP 2) S2 – Split* (Top and Bottom show SPEED/RATE 3/LAP 3) S2 (2sec) – Reset LAP and SPEED/RATE to zero** *For only chance to view Total Average Speed/Rate, push M. Memory Review (before Resetting) M – Review* (Bottom shows AVE TOTAL SPEED/RATE, Top shows TOTAL ELAPSED TIME) M – Review* (Bottom shows AVE LAP Split, Top shows TOTAL ELAPSED TIME) M – Review (Shows last SPEED/RATE and LAP Split) M – Review (Shows next SPEED/RATE and LAP Split, in reverse order) *Reviews at any time in reverse numerical order. Hold down for Rapid Review. **Reset before 30 hrs. (end of range) and rollover.
