ENGLISH Troubleshooting Troubleshooting (continued) Audio and Image Issues Before requesting repair, please check in accordance with the following chart. If the situation cannot be corrected, then contact your dealer. Problem Cause / Solution Power does not come ON.The main power source is not ON. The electrical power cord is not plugged in. The main power source has been interrupted during operation, such as by a power outage (blackout), etc. Be sure to press the "O" (power OFF) side of the main power switch, and leave this OFF for at least 20 minutes. After the unit has sufficiently cooled down, turn ON the power source. No sound or image output.The input changeover settings are mismatched. Select the input signal, and correct the changeover settings. No signal input. Correctly connect the connection cables. Pictures are displayed, but no sounds are heard.The electrical wiring to this unit is not correctly connected. Correctly connect the connection cables. The volume setting has been set at (or adjusted to) an extremely low level. Adjust the VOLUME setting to a higher level. The MUTE mode is the current setting. Press the MUTE button to release (change) the MUTE mode setting. Sounds are heard, but no pictures are displayed.The electrical wiring to this unit is not correctly connected. Correctly connect the connection cables. The brightness setting has been set at (or adjusted to) an extremely low level. Adjust the BRIGHT setting to a brighter level. The lens cap has not been removed. Remove the lens cap. Cannot play DVD.Make sure the DVD player's LED indicator is lighting. Confirm that the disc is an original edition. Eject the disc and play again. Press "Menu" button while the projector is detecting the source, then press "Enter" button to reboot the DVD player. ENGLISH

ENGLISH Maintenance Maintenance Replacing Projection Lamp When the lamp’s total working time accumulates to over 2000 hours, the on-screen display (OSD) will deliver a message recommending that you replace the lamp. Please contact a service center to replace the lamp as soon as possible, or refer to the following instructions to replace it yourself. To replace the lamp: 1. Turn off the projector by pressing the “power” button on top of the unit. 2. Allow the projector to cool down for at least one hour. 3. Switch off the main power and disconnect the power cord. 4. Loosen two screws on the lamp cover and remove the lamp cover. 5. Loosen the screw on the lamp module. Remove the lamp module by pulling on the handle. 6. Insert a new lamp module into the socket; make sure it is in position. 7. Reverse step 4 and 5. 8. Ensure that the lamp cover is securely attached and flush with the bottom of the unit. The unit will not operate with the cover incorrectly installed. 9. Reset the lamp timer. 3M™ Digital Media System 700 Bottom View

ENGLISH Other Care Caring For The Inside Of The Projector In order to ensure the safe use of your projector, please have it cleaned and inspected by your local dealer about once every 2 years. Never try to care for the inside of the unit yourself. Doing so is dangerous. Caring For The Lens 1. Turn off the projector, and unplug the power cord. 2. Lightly wipe the lens with a commercially available lens-cleaning wipe. Do not touch the lens directly with your hand. Caring For The Cabinet And Remote Control 1. Turn off the projector, and unplug the power cord. 2. Wipe lightly with gauze or a soft cloth. If soiling is severe, dip soft cloth in water or a neutral cleaner diluted in water, and wipe lightly after wringing well. Then, wipe lightly with a soft, dry cloth. Other Care
