1.  Remove the damaged or defective 284 or 285 daughtercard from
location 5S (284) or 6D (285).
2.  Place a good quality dual-wipe 28 pin socket in the existing socket
at 6D or 5S.  (For maximum reliability the original socket can be
desoldered from the game board and the dual-wipe 28 pin socket
soldered into place.)
