    MagicBright, MagicColor, Auto Setup, Source Select, Color Tone 
      1) MagicBright 
    MagicBright is a new feature providing optimum viewing environment 
    depending on the contents of the image you are watching. Currently 
    seven different modes are available: Custom, Text, Internet, Game, 
    Sport and Movie, Dynamic Contrast. Each mode has its own pre-
    configured brightness value. You can easily select one of seven 
    settings by simply pressing MagicBright control button.

    2) MagicColor 
    MagicColor is a new technology that Samsung has exclusively 
    developed to improve digital image and to display natural color more 
    clearly without disturbing image quality.

    3) Auto Setup 
    Press this button to self-adjust to the incoming Analog signal.

    4) Source Select 
    Select the video signal. (Analog/Digital)

    The tone of the color can be changed.

     The blue light is on in its normal working condition and blinks when setting 
    the adjustments of the monitor. 
    Use this button for power the monitor on and off, change the input source, 
    or perform Auto Adjustment. 
    1) Power On/Off 
     
    						
    							    
     When you press the power button, the monitor is on/off.

    2) Input Source 
    When you press the power button, the input source may be changed 
    to Analog or Digital, blinking once with blue lihgt.

    3) Auto adjustment 
    When you press the power button, the Auto Adjustment function is 
    activate, blinking twice with blue light.

    The buttons to the right of the monitor are touch-sensitive 
    buttons.  
    Touch a button lightly with your finger. 
        
        
    See PowerSaver described in the manual for further information regarding power saving 
    functions. For energy conservation, turn your monitor OFF when it is not needed or when 
    leaving it unattended for long periods.

    Kensington Lock : 
     
    The Kensington lock is a device used to physically fix the system 
    when using it in a public place. 
    (The locking device has to be purchased separately.)

    DVI : 
     
    Connect the 
    DVI terminal of your monitor to your computer using a 
    DVI/D-Sub cable. 
         
     
    DC 12V : 
     
    Connect a power line to a direct current power supply and then plug 
    it into the relevant power port. 
     
     
    UP (USB upstream port):  
    Connect the 
     UP port of the monitor and the USB port of the 
    computer with the USB cable.  
         
     
    DOWN (USB downstream port): 
    Connect the 
    DOWN port of the USB monitor and a USB device 
    with the USB cable.
    zTo use  DOWN (Downstream Port), you have 
    to connect the   UP (Upstream Cable ) to the 
    PC.  
    zMake sure to use the USB cable supplied with 
    this monitor to connect the monitors   UP port 
    and your computers USB port.

       Connecting the Monitor 
    1.Connect a power line to a direct current power supply and then plug it into the relevant power 
    port.
    2-1. Using the D-Sub (analog) connector on the video card. 
    Connect the 
    DVI terminal of your monitor to the D-Sub terminal of your computer using a 
    DVI/D-Sub cable. 
     
    2-2.Connected to a Macintosh. 
    Connect the monitor to the Macintosh computer using the DVI to D-SUB connection cable.
    2-3. In the case of an old model Macintosh, you need to connect the monitor using a special Mac 
    adapter.
    3. Turn on your computer and monitor. If your monitor displays an image, installation is 
    complete. 
     
    If you properly connect your monitor using the DVI connector but get a blank screen, check to 
    see if the monitor status is set to analog. At th is time, press the Power button at the right of 
    your monitor or the Custom bu tton at the left so that it checks the input signals again.

    (When pivoting the monitor, rotation angle is displayed on screen of the monitor.)

    When rotating the screen, make sure  to tilt the monitor 45 to 65 degrees so that it does not touch 
    the floor. When tilting the screen backwards, do not tilt it more than 65 degrees.
     
       Installing the Monitor Driver (Automatic)
    When prompted by the operating system for the monitor driver, insert the CD-ROM 
    included with this monitor.  Driver installation is slightly different from one operating 
    system to another. Follow the directions appropriate for the operating system you 
    have.  
     
    Prepare a blank disk and download the driver program file at the Internet web site shown 
    here.

    4. If you can see following message window, then click the  Continue Anyway button.

    5. Monitor driver installation is completed. 
     
    This monitor driver is under certifying  MS logo, and this installation dont 
    damage your system. The certified dr iver will be posted on Samsung 
    Monitor homepage.

    6. Select  Dont search ,I will..  then click 
    Next and then click

    7. Click the  Browse button then choose A:(D:\Driver) and
     choose your monitor model in the 
    model list and click the  Next button.  
     
         
     
    8. If you can see following message window, then click the  Continue Anyway button. Then 
    click  OK button. 
     
      
     
    This monitor driver is under certifying MS lo go, and this installation dont damage your 
    system. The certifie d driver will be posted on Samsung Monitor

    9. Click the  Close button then click
