    (1) When selected and the Enter button is pressed the following screen is displayed.

    KEEP STICKS CENTRE POSITION
    AND PRESS SERVICE SW
    GO TO [SWITCH TEST] ............................ (2)
    SELECT SW :CHOOSE ENTER SW : ENTER
    Note: Ensure that all joysticks are in the central position when initializing.
    (2) GO TO [SWITCH TEST]  When selected and the Enter button is pressed the
    screen will display the Switch Test.

    screen the following screen is displayed.

    The SWITCH TEST screen displays the status of the switches.
    The display changes when any of the switches are operated.
    Press both Select Up switch and Enter Switch together to exit and return to the Menu.
    (1) The number increments each time a coin signal is received.
    (2) ~ (5) The display changes from OFF to ON each time the respective switch is
    operated.
    (6) A bar extends from the centre corresponding to the direction and deflection
    of the joystick.
    (7) & (8) The figure changes corresponding to the joystick angle when the joystick is
    tilted. The figure will change colour when the joystick is tilted to its
    maximum angle of defelection.
    (7) is for the left/right direction, and (8) is for the forward/backward
    direction.
    (9) The dispaly changes from OFF to ON when either of the start buttons are
    pressed.
    (10) Displays the input force of the ball assembly used during the game.
    (11) The left OFF changes to ON, (ON/OFF), when the ball is kicked gently and
    the right OFF changes to ON, (ON/ON), when the ball is kicked hard.
    (12) A red bar is displayed above the line when the ball is kicked. The bar
    length indicates the kick speed. 
    						
    							Page 53 6-2-4 Monitor Test
    1. Select “MONITOR TEST” on the menu screen to test and adjust the
    Monitor. The following screen is displayed.
    2. Use the Select Up/Down switch to choose the required item then press the
    Enter button. To return to the Monitor Test Menu from a test pattern press
    the Enter button.
    3. Select “EXIT” and press the Enter button to return to the menu screen.

    f) Displays a white square. (L or dark)

    j) Displays an entire white screen. 
    						
    							Page 54 6-2-5 Sound Test
    1. Select “SOUND TEST” on the menu screen to adjust the volume and test
    the sound. The following screen is displayed.
    2. Use the Select Up/Down switch to choose the required item then press the
    Enter button.
    3. Use the Select Up/Down switch to change the selected item settings
    Note: Item (d) only. To select the digit to be adjusted press the Enter button.
    4. Press the Enter button after the setting changes have been made to return
    to option select
    5. Select “EXIT” and press the Enter button to return to the menu screen.

    (a) Volume setting for Game mode. Settable from 0 ~ 127 with 0 the quietest
    and 127 the loudest.
    (b) Volume setting for Attract mode. Settable from 0 ~ 127 with 0 the quietest
    and 127 the loudest.
    (c) Volume setting for the game not being played if in Link mode. Settable from
    0 ~ 127 with 0 the quietest and 127 the loudest.
    (d) Each number will produce a different sound each time the Service button is
    pressed. (for a maximum of 10 seconds.)
    001 when selected will produce a sound from the left speaker only, then the
    right speaker only and then both speakers together as a stereo check.
    (e) Displays the sound code selected by REQUEST. “NO SOUND” is displayed
    if there is no corresponding sound file for the selected number
    6-2-6 ADS Data
    By selecting ADS Data from the Menu screen, all of the bookkeeping details can
    be read and/or reset.

    a) Displays the software version.
    b) Displays the time and date.
    c) Displays the PC board serial number.
    d) Selects the language used in the Attract mode
    ENG : English, FRA : French, GER : German, ESP : Spanish, ITA : Italian,
    KOR : Korean, CHN : Chinese
    The six languages other than English are only available for kicking
    instructions in the attract mode and game control instructions before game
    play starts. All other text is in English only.
    e) Sets the screen freeze function. When this is set to ON, press the enter
    switch to freeze/release the screen, operate the Select Up switch to
    advance frames.
    f) Tests the PC board. (Not used while the game is in operation)
    g) When selected the Data Initialization Menu appears. To reset all game
    settings and clear stored data select YES from the Data Initialization Menu
    and press the Enter button. 6-2-7 Others
    1. Select “OTHERS” on the menu screen to change language and reset to
    factory settings. The following screen is displayed.
    2. Use the Select Up/Down switch to choose the required item then press the
    Enter button.3. Use the Select Up/Down switch to change the selected item
    settings
    Note: Item (d) only. To select the digit to be adjusted press the Enter button.
    4. Press the Enter button after the setting changes have been made to return
    to option select

    7. INITIALIZATION
    Adjustments when Replacing Parts 
    The following operation 
    must always be performed after replacing the NAOMI Game
    PCB, Joystick Potentiometers or initializing the backup data.. 
    The game will not operate correctly if these adjustments are not made. 
    1. Slide the TEST switch ON while pressing and holding the SERVICE switch. The following screen is displayed.
    I/F INITIALIZE
    KEEP STICKS CENTRE POSITION AND PRESS SERVICE SW
    GO TO [SWITCH TEST] ............................ (a)
    SELECT SW :CHOOSE ENTER SW : ENTER
    2. Ensure that all joysticks are in their central position, then press the \
    Service button to initialize the setting details.
    3. Press the Enter button to go to the Switch Test and confirm correct joystick operation.  (see page 52 for test de tails)

    8. MAINTENANCE
      
    Adjustment or maintenance on this machine should be carried out by
    qualified personnel only.
    Ensure that the 
    POWER to the machine is turned OFF before commencing
    any maintenance work. (Trouble shooting, service or repairs etc.)
      
    Einstellungen und Wartung des Gerätes dürfen nur von dafür qualifiziertem
    Fachpersonal vorgenommen werden.
    Vor Beginn aller Wartungsarbeiten (Fehlersuche, Reparaturen etc.) muß der
    Netzstecker gezogen werden.
      
    Justeringer eller vedligehold af denne maskine bør kun udføres af
    kvalificeret personale.
    Sørg for, at strømmen til maskinen er slukket før der foretages nogen form
    for arbejde (fejlfinding, reparation etc.)
      
    Los ajustes y el mantenimiento de esta máquina deben ser realizados sólo
    por personal cualificado.
    Asegúrese de que la máquina está desconectada antes de comenzar
    cualquier trabajo de mantenimiento (reparaciones, resolución de
    problemas, etc.)

    Regolazioni e manutenzione su questa macchina devono essere fatti solo
    da personale specializzato.
    Assicurarsi che la macchina sia SPENTA prima di incominciare qualsiasi
    lavoro di manutenzione (guasti, riparazioni etc.)

    							Page 59 8-1 Replacing the Ball Assy
    1. Remove 4off hex head screw (M8x40), with flat and spring washer, and remove
    the Ball Assy and Ball Mounting Wood.
    2. Replace the Ball Assy, ensuring that the Ball Mounting Wood is refitted.
    Note: The holes in the ball, ball mounting wood and kicker assy are not equally
    spaced. Ensure that all holes line-up before fitting any screws.

    8-2 Replacing the Kicker Assy
    1.  Seperate the Kicker Cabinet from the Monitor Cabinet.  (see 5-2 page 39)
    2.   Remove the Ball  Ass y.  (See 8-1  page 59)
    3. Remove 2off whizz nuts (M10) and remove the rear Fixing Bracket.
