    Recommended Cable Routing
    1. Route the fib er optic  c ab le up  toward the top  of the c ab inet. The exc ess 
    c ab le should  b e loop ed  and  d rap ed  from the B25A c able c lamp  on the 
    top  g round  p late in the stac k. See Figure 1-18
    .
    2. Dress the c ab le b y tie wrap p ing  it to the outsid e of the B25A c able c lamp .
    !CAUTION:
    Do not route fib er op tic  c ab les and the B25A c ab les tog ether.

    Earthq uake p rotec tion only installs on Sing le-Carrier Cab inets.

    1. Position the Control Cab inet (J58890L) in the p osition it is to oc c up y when 
    the installation is c omp lete. Be sure the c ab inet is level.
    2. Using  a p enc il or marker and  using  the Front Mounting  Ang le as a 
    temp late, mark the loc ations of the two floor mounting  holes.
    3. Move the c ab inet out of the way and  d rill a hole 0.5-inc h (1.3 c m) in 
    d iameter and  1.5 inc hes (3.8 c m) d eep  at the loc ations marked  in Step  2.
    4. Insert a c onc rete floor anc hor (STARR p art numb er 3425) into eac h hole. Figure Notes

    5. Sec ure the Front Mounting  Ang le to the floor using  the short hex head  
    bolts provided.
    6. Move the c ab inet b ac k into p lac e.
    7. At the rear of the c ab inet, remove the two hole plug s from the b ottom of 
    the c ab inet. See Fig ure 1-2 3
    .
    8. Insert a p enc il or marker throug h the holes in the b ottom of the c ab inet 
    and  mark the floor d irec tly b eneath eac h hole. 
    9. Move the c ab inet out of the way and  d rill a hole 0.5-inc h (1.27 c m) in 
    d iameter and  1.5 inc hes (3.8 c m) d eep  at the loc ations marked  in Step  8.
    10. Insert a c onc rete floor anc hor (STARR p art numb er 3425) into eac h hole.
    11. Move the c ab inet b ac k into p lac e and  alig n with the Front Mounting Ang le.
    12. Attac h the c ab inet to the Front Mounting  Ang le using  the four sup p lied  
    #12-24 x 1/2-inc h (1.27 c m) thread -forming  sc rews. See Fi g u re  1 - 2 2

    13. Lay the sup p lied  Stiffener on the bottom rear of the c ab inet and  alig n with 
    the holes in the b ottom of the c ab inet. See Fig ure 1-2 3
    .
    14. Slid e a nylon washer onto eac h of the two sup p lied  long  hex head  b olts.
    15. Insert the b olts throug h the Stiffener and  thread  into the c onc rete floor 
    anc hor. Tig hten sec urely.
    NOTE:
    If c ritic al reliab ility is installed, the Exp ansion Control Cab inet sets on 
    the floor, next to Control Cab inet A. Rep eat the ab ove proc edures. Figure Notes

    Equipment Room Hardware
    SYSTIMAX 110-typ e hardware is used  for the Main Distrib ution Frame (MDF). 
    110-typ e hard ware is availab le in two b asic  types: the 110A and  110P. The 110A 
    req uires less wall sp ac e than the 110P. The 110P inc lud es horizontal and  vertic al 
    c ab le troug hs for manag ing c ross-c onnec t c ab les. The system is c onnec ted to 
    the MDF with the sup p lied  B25A male to female 25-pair c ab les. The c ab les are 
    p rovid ed in 10-foot (3 m) and  15-foot (4.5 m) lengths.
