    Detailed Description for China
    Forced Disconnect
Forc ed Disc onnec t allows a network op erator to d isc onnec t a c alled p arty from a
loc al c all and c onnec t the c alled p arty to an inc oming toll c all. Parties on the
loc al c all hear a warning tone b efore d isc onnec t. Forc ed Disc onnec t is allowed
only for c allers on loc al sing le-station c alls. It is ignored b y DEFINITY ECS on
c onferenc e, transferred , and forwarded c alls. It is also ignored for c alls to g roup
users and tand em c alls.
    Mode-of-Release Control
Mod e-of -Release Control inhibits release of a trunk c irc uit when a c aller g oes
on-hook, b ased on c all type and direc tion. Instead of releasing the trunk c irc uit,
DEFINITY ECS keep s the c irc uit ac tive and rec onnec ts the c all if the c aller g oes
b ac k off-hook. Call typ es for whic h this ap p lies are toll, loc al, or servic e. Direc tion
is inc oming or outg oing . There are three typ es of c ontrol.
    Calling-Party Control
When Calling -Party Control is ac tive, the trunk is not released until the c aller g oes
on-hook. Several situations may oc c ur.
nIf the c aller g oes on-hook, the trunk is released immed iately. The c alled
p arty rec eives busy tone.
nIf the c alled p arty goes on-hook, the trunk is not released until the c aller
g oes on-hook or the re-answer timer for outg oing c alls exp ires. The c alled
p arty c an re-answer the c all and talk to the c alling p arty. See Re-ring on
    page 115.
nIf the re-answer timer is ac tivated and exp ired , the trunk is released on
outgoing c alls with Calling -Party Control.
    Called-Party Control
When Called -Party Control is ac tive, the trunk is not released until the c alled
p arty g oes on-hook. Several situations may oc c ur.
nIf the c alled p arty goes on-hook, the trunk is released immed iately. The
c aller rec eives b usy tone.
nIf the c aller g oes on-hook, the trunk is not released until the c alled p arty
    g oes on-hook. The c aller c an g o off-hook again to rec onnec t. There is no
timer involved with Called -Party Control.
    First-Party Control
When First-Party Control is ac tive, the trunk is released immed iately reg ard less of
whether the c aller or c alled p arty g oes on-hook first. The p arty that is still
connec ted receives busy tone. The default or normal Mode-of-Release Control
