Manual Launch
1. For Windows Embedded Standard or Windows XP, select Start > Run and type certmgr.msc in the text box and 
tap OK. 
2. For Windows 7, select Start and type certmgr.msc in the search box and press Enter. 
3. In the left pane, right-click Trusted Root Certificate Authorities and select All Tasks > Import.
4. The Certificate Import Wizard starts.

Complete the Root CA Certificate Installation
Generate a User Certificate
The easiest way to get the user certificate is to use the browser on the Thor VX9 or a PC to navigate to the Certificate 
Authority. To request the user certificate, open a browser to 
http:///certsrv. 
Sign into the CA with the username and password of the person who will be logging into the mobile device.
This process saves a user certificate file. There is no separate private key file as used on Windows CE devices. For...

Click the Request a certificate link. 
Click on the User Certificate link.
Click on the Submit button. if there is a message box asking if you want to confirm the request, click Yes.
The User Certificate is issued.
Install the user certificate on the requesting computer by clicking the Install this certificate link. 
If the requesting computer is the Thor VX9, then the process is finished. otherwise, export the certificate as described 
below.

Export a User Certificate
Select Tools > Internet Options > Content and click the Certificates button.
Make sure the Personal tab is selected. Highlight the certificate and click the Export button.
The Certificate Export Wizard is started
Click Finish and OK to close the Successful Export message.
Locate the User Certificate in the specified location. Copy to the Thor VX9.

Atheros Client Utility
The 802.11b/g radio is configured with the AtherosĀ® Client Utility (ACU). The ACU can be accessed by:
 Selecting Start > All Programs > Atheros > Atheros Client Utility
 Clicking on the Atheros Client Utility on the desktop

1. Select None from Set Security Options.
2. Click OK to save the profile.
3. Make sure the desired profile is selected on the Profile Management screen. Double-clicking on any profile

WEP
1. Select Pre-Shared Key (Static WEP) from Set Security Options.
2. Click the Configure button.
3. Enter the WEP key. The key can be in Hexadecimal or ASCII format.
4. Click OK to save the WEP key(s) then click OK again to save the profile.
5. Make sure the desired profile is selected on the Profile Management screen. Double-clicking on any profile 
makes that profile active.

LEAP
1. Select 802.1x from Set Security Options.
2. Choose LEAP from the 802.1x EAP Type pulldown.
3. Click the Configure button.
4. Make sure Use Saved User Name and Password is selected.
5. Enter the user credentials.
6. Click OK to save the credential information and then click OK again to save the profile.
7. Make sure the desired profile is selected on the Profile Management screen. Double-clicking on any profile 
makes that profile active.

1. Select WPA/WPA2 Passphrase from Set Security Options.
2. Click the Configure button.
3. Enter the passphrase.
4. Click OK to save the passphrase and then click OK again to save the profile.
