Thank you for purchasing a Frankford Arsenal™ Rotary Brass Sifter. We have designed this product to quickly separate cartridge cases from the tumbling media. A few quick rotations of the sifter body deposits the tumbling media directly into a plas- tic 3-1/2 or 5 gallon bucket for storage. 1. Assembling the Rotary Brass Sifter: a. Check to make sure all parts are present: (picture 1). 1 - bucket adapter 2 - sifter halves b. To assemble the separator halves, mate the hinges together with a slight twisting motion. (picture 2). c. Close the separator halves together making sure the latch locks. d. Place the bucket adapter on top of a plastic 3- 1/2 gallon or 5 gallon bucket. e. Place the axles of the complete separator onto the “U” grooves in the bucket adapter (picture 3). Picture 1 Picture 2 Picture 3 2 1
2. Using the Rotary Brass Separator: a. Lock the separator into the bucket adapter by placing the axle pin into the hole in the bottom of the “U” groove of the bucket adapter (picture 4). b. Open the separator by squeezing the latches together and tip the top sifter half back against the bucket adapter (picture 5). c. Pour the contents of the tumbler into the separator and close it, making sure the latch locks securely. d. Lift the separator axle on one side until the axle pin is free from the hole in the bottom of the “U” groove. e. Slide the separator to the left, unlocking the axle pin and allowing the sifter to rotate (picture 6). f. Rotate the separator body with your hands to separate the media and brass. g. Place the separator into the locked position on the bucket adapter (see item 2a. above). h. Open the separator, tip the top half back and twist slightly to disengage the hinges. Remove the top half. i. Remove the bottom half of the separator with the cartridge cases and place it next to your reloading press. The separator will lay flat. Picture 4 Picture 5 Picture 6
