Forster Primer Pocket Clener Chamfering Tools Instructions Manual

							The Primer Pocket Cleaner is a scraper-type tool used to clean out the powder residue left in primer
pockets after firing. The Primer Pocket Chamfering Tool will chamfer the corners of the pocket to the
desired depth. It will remove most, if not all, of the crimp in military brass. 
CAUTION — Remove only the crimp from the primer pocket. Excessive chamfering can short-
en the wall of the primer pocket that holds the primer in place.
Begin by fastening your Forster Case Trimmer to a bench or board to allow the free use of both hands.
Insert the shank of the Center into the collet. (Any size Forster Collet may be used. The same Center
is used for both the Cleaner and the Chamfering tool.) Tighten the collet screw. Insert the Cleaner or
Chamfering Tool into the cutter shaft in place of the Case Trimmer Pilot. Lock the Cleaner or Chamfering
Tool in place by tightening the set screw. Hold the mouth of the case over the Center. Advance the
Cleaner or Chamfering Tool into the primer pocket and turn the crank handle to operate the tool.
Both tools may be used with the Forster Power Case Trimmer (PT1010). The slowest drill press
speed should be used for best results.
