Removing a CD/DVD
cCaution:
Be sure to remove the CD/DVD tray after 
printing has finished. If you turn the printer on or 
off with the tray in the CD/DVD guide, you may 
damage the printer.
1. Make sure that printing is finished.
2. Remove the CD/DVD tray by pulling it 
straight out of the CD/DVD guide.
3. Press L[CD Print] to replace the 
CD/DVD guide.

Note:
❏The copied image may not be exactly the 
same size as the original.
❏Depending on the type of paper used, print 
quality may decline in the top and bottom 
areas of the printout, or these areas may be 
smeared.
Placing Originals on the 
Document Table
1. Open the document cover and place 
your original face-down on the 
document table. 
2. Close the cover gently.Tip:
If you want to copy a thick or large document, 
you can remove the document cover.

❏If your photos have faded over time, select 
On to bring them back to life.
❏If you set Color Restoration to On for a 
normal color photo, the photo may not be 
printed correctly.
4. Press OK again. Your photo is 
previewed.
5. Set the number of copies.
6. Press xMenu and change the settings 
(&“Print settings for Reprint/Restore 
Photos” on page 45). Then press OK.
7. Press xStart.
Note:
If the edges of the copy are cropped off, move 
the original away from the corner slightly....

Copying Documents
Tip:
By using the Auto Duplexer you can copy and 
print on both sides of your paper. For details on 
setting it up, see your online Users Guide.

2. Select the copy settings.
3. Press xMenu to change the settings 
(&“Print settings for Copy mode” on 
page 41). Then press OK.

Inserting a memory card
Note:
If a digital camera is connected to the printer, 
disconnect it before you insert your memory 
card.
1. Open the memory card slot cover.
2. Make sure no memory cards are in the 
slots. Then insert your memory card.

❏Do not insert more than one memory card 
at a time.
❏Do not try to force the memory card into 
the slot. Memory cards will not go all the 
way in.

Removing the memory card
1. Make sure the memory card light is not 
flashing.
2. Remove the memory card by pulling it 
straight out.
Printing Photos
1. Press sMemory Card.
2. Select one of the settings in the following 
table for viewing/printing your photos, 
and then press OK. Follow the 
instructions below to select the photos 
and set the number of copies.
3. Press xMenu and change the settings 
(&“Print settings for Memory Card 
mode” on page 42).

Cropping and enlarging a 
photo
1. Press sMemory Card.
2. Select the photo you want to crop with 
the View and Print Photos option 
(&“Printing Photos” on page 17).
3. Press G [Display/Crop].
4. Refer to “Cropping and enlarging a 
photo” on page 13 and follow steps 4 to 
7.
5. Press xMenu and change the settings 
(&“Print settings for Memory Card 
mode” on page 42). Then press OK.
6. Press xStart.

4. If you want to print your photos by 
using the P.I.F. frames already assigned, 
press OK.
If you want to select the P.I.F. frames on 
the memory card, press yBack. Then 
select the photo with the View and Print 
Photos option and select P.I.F. frame as 
the Layout setting (&“Printing Photos” 
on page 17).
5. Select the photo and P.I.F. frame then 
press OK.
Note:
❏Press OK again to check how the photo 
looks in the frame.
❏P.I.F. frames have already been assigned...

Printing the selected photos
1. Printing an index sheet
1. Load several sheets of A4-size plain 
paper into the front paper cassette 
(&page 8).
2. Press sMemory Card.
3. Select Print Index Sheet, then press OK.
4. Select Print Index Sheet.
5. Select the range of photos. Then press 
OK.
6. Press xStart.
Note:
Make sure the triangle mark on the upper left 
corner of the index sheet is printed properly. 
If the index sheet is not printed correctly, the 
printer cannot scan...
