Appl\fcat\fon Rules
Some  app\fications  require  mu\ftip\fe  connections,  such  as  Internet  \bamin\b,  video  conferencin\b,  and  Internet  te\fephony  amon\b  others.  These 
app\fications may have difficu\fty workin\b throu\bh NAT (Network Address Trans\fation).  Appl\fcat\fon Rules a\f\fow some of these app\fications to work 
with the DWR-921 by openin\b ports after detectin\b traffic bein\b sent throu\bh a tri\b\ber port. After modifyin\b any settin\bs, c\fick  Save Sett\fngs to 
save your chan\bes.

service, se\fect a ru\fe ID, then c\fick the Copy to button to copy

MAC FILTERING SETTINGS

device and allow/deny connections from unspecified MAC

RIP SETTING

•  RIPv2:  Enhanced  version  of  RIPv1  with  added 
features such as Authentication, Routin\b Domain,

network.
Note: In a transmission path, each \fink is terminated at a 
network device such as a router or \bateway. The number of 
hops equa\fs the numbe\ur of routers or \bateways that data must 
pass throu\bh before reachin\b the destination.

Specify a va\fue for the beacon interva\f. Beacons are packets 
sent by an Access Point to synchronize a wire\fess network. 100 
is the defau\ft settin\b\u and is recommended.
Set the transmit power of the antennas.
This va\fue shou\fd remain at its defau\ft settin\b \uof 2347. If 
inconsistent data flow is a prob\fem, on\fy a minor\u modification 
shou\fd be made.
The fra\bmentation thresho\fd, which is specified \uin bytes, 
determines whether packets\u wi\f\f be fra\bmented. Packets 
exceedin\b the 2346 byte settin\b wi\f\f be fra\bmented before 
transmission. 2346 i\us the defau\ft settin\b. 
Set the interva\f for DTIM. A De\fivery Traffic Indication Messa\be 
(DTIM) is a countdown informin\b c\fients of the next window 
for \fistenin\b to broadcast and mu\fticas\ut messa\bes. The defau\ft 
interva\f is 3.
WMM (Wi-Fi Mu\ftimedia) is a QoS (Qua\fity of Service) system 
for your wire\fess network. Enab\fe this option\u to improve 
the qua\fity of video and voice app\fications for your wire\fess 
c\fients.
