YourfirststepinusingCiscoUnityConnectionistoenrollasauser,whichyoudobyphone.Typically,
Connectionissetupsothatyouhearthefirst-timeenrollmentconversationwhenyoucallthesystemforthe
firsttime.
Thefirst-timeenrollmentconversationisasetofprerecordedpromptsthatguideyouasyoudothefollowing
tasks:
•Recordyourname.
•Recordagreetingthatoutsidecallershearwhenyoudonotansweryourphone.
•ChangeyourPIN.
•Choosewhethertobelistedinthedirectory.(Whenyouarelistedinthedirectory,callerswhodonot
knowyourextensioncanreachyoubyspellingorsayingyourname.)
Typically,yourConnectionadministratorgivesyouanID(usuallyyourdeskphoneextension)andatemporary
PIN.
Atanytimeafterenrollment,youcanrerecordyournameandgreeting,orchangeyourPINanddirectory
listingstatus.
