When the delivered paper reaches the stacking limit of the tray, or after 30 sets of prints have been delivered, printing stops temporarily. Remove all the paper from the output tray, and the remaining printing and stapling will restart. You cannot staple heavyweight paper, envelopes, transparencies, labels, tracing paper, or letterheads. The following paper can be stapled: A3, A4, A4R. Remove all the paper from the output tray before stapling. NOTE Copies are stapled in the following places: - When an original is placed on the platen glass: - When originals are placed in the feeder: If the number of sheets in one set exceeds 15 (for A3-size), or 30 (for A4, and A4R-size), stapling will not be performed. Only collating will be performed. If the machine stops during stapling and is displayed, it means that almost all of the staples have been used up and the staple case must be replaced. To proceed, replace the staple case. (See ‘Replacing the Staple Case in the Stapler Unit,’ on p. 7-63.)
