WARNING Always operate, inspect, and maintain this tool with American National Standards Institute Safety Code for Portable Air Tool s (ANSI B186.0) and any other applicable safety codes and regulations. Always turn off the air supply and disconnect the air supply hose before installing, removing, or adjusting any accessories o n the tool or before performing any maintenance on this tool . Failure to do so could result in injury. Never use higher air pressure to increase the output of the impact wrench. Overloading will drastically shorten the life of a ll internal parts. IMPORTANT Make sure that these instructions are fully understood befo re operating this tool. The tool, its attachments, and accessories must only be used for their designed purpose. For product liability and safety reasons, any modifications of the tool and its accessories must be agreed upon by the technical authority of t he manufacturer. All locally legislated safety rules with regard to installation, operation, and maintenance shall be respect ed at all times. The use of sloppy or worn sockets and extensions can cause excessive wear to the impact mechanism and will void wa rranty. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE OPERATION First, follow your local safety regulations strictly on this tool. 1. Air power tools can vibrate in use. Vibration, repetitive motion, or uncomfortable positions may be harmful to your hands and arms. Stop using an y tool if discomfort, tingling feeling, or pain occurs. 2. Always wear safety goggles. 3. Keep hands, loose clothing, and long hair away from rotating end of the tool. 4. Anticipate and be alert for sudden changes in motion during start up and operation of any power tool. 5. The tool shaft may continue to rotate briefly after the throttle is released. 6. Do not lubricate the tool with flammable or volatile liquids such as kerosene, diesel or jet fuel. 7. Do not remove any labels. Replace any damaged l abel. 8. Use only impact sockets and accessories. Do not use hand (chrome) sockets or accessories. 9. Impact tools are not torque control devices. Fasteners with specific torque requirements must be checked with suitable torque measuring devices after in stallation with an impact tool. 10. Always check for damaged or loose hoses and fittings before operation and replace if necessary. Whipping hoses can cause seri ous injury. 11. Keep body working stance balanced and firm. Do not overreach when operating t he tool. 12. Always wear hearing protection when operating this tool. 13. Do not carry the tool by the hose. 14. Do not force the tool past its rated capacity. Follow tool specifications for choosing proper size and type of accessories. I t will do the j ob better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. AIR SUPPLY AIR HOSE SIZE : 1/4” NPT air inlet use a 3/8” ID hose; 3/8” NPT air inlet use a 1/2” ID hose; 1/2” NPT air inlet use a 3/4” ID hose; and 3/4” air inlet use a 1” ID hose. AIR PRESSURE : 85 PSI (6 kg/cm 2 ) air pressure is recommended for the most efficient performance. Too high of air pressure will shorten the life of the tool. LUBRICATION FOR AIR MOTOR : Supply light turbine oil properly through air inlet or line lubricator before and after ev ery operation (e.g., Mobil Turbine Oil #32, Shell Turbine Oil #32, and/or equivalent). FOR BEARINGS : Supply high - quality grease properly (e.g., Shell Alvania No. 2, Mobilplex 2, and/or equivalent) once every three months or when the tool is overhauled. MAI NTENANCE REGULAR OVERHAUL : At least once every three months, regular or periodical overhaul by a competent repair technician to assure the best performance, trouble - free operation, and maximum tool life. GENUINE PARTS : The use of other than genuine AIMCO r eplacement parts may result in safety hazards, decreased tool performance, and increased maintenance, and may invalidate all warranties. AIMCO is not responsible for customer modification of tools for applications on which AIMCO was not consulted. Repairs should be made only by an authorized AIMCO Service Center.
