REPLA CING THE BA TTER YWhen  the display  starts to  dim  or goes  blank,  it is  time  to replace  the battery . 
Y our  pedometer uses one  Type LR43 (L1 142)  1.5  volt  alk aline bat tery. Y ou’ll  
need a jeweler ’s screwdri
ver set to c hange the bat tery. T o replace:
1 .  Inser t a coin into the slot on the bot tom of the case, and twist counter - 
  cloc kwise  to loosen the case front. Lif t case front away.
2.  Use a jeweler ’s screwdri ver  
  to remo ve the bat tery  
  terminal screws. 
3.  Replace  with a new bat tery. The bat tery’s positi ve (+) terminal should  
  be F ACE UP while you put it into the pedometer .
4.  Align case front o ver the pedometer and press gently to  
  snap co ver bac k into place, star ting with top.

WEARING  YOUR PEDOMETER   While gently holding the metal belt clip open, slide the pedome-
ter onto your belt or the top edge of your pants or skir t. It should 
t snugly and level, abo ve one knee. 
Note: the pedometer should be as ver tical as possible. Walk ers 
with larger stomac hs may nd it helpful to wear the pedometer 
far ther  bac k on the body , toward one hip.

SAFETY LEASH
This pedometer comes with a free safety leash, to help prevent 
accidental loss.  The leash comes pre-at tached  to the pedometer .
T o use the leash, simply clasp the w aistband of your clothing 
with the at tached  allig ator clip.   You  can also use a safety pin to 
fasten the leash to your clothing, loop the leash through your 
belt or belt loop, or use a badge holder .
